Unseen Footprints
Invitation to a Virtual Retreat

Life is a journey that often takes us into unchartered territory, and we feel lost. It doesn’t help that often God’s footprints are unseen or just not obvious. Different things overwhelm us—personal issues, national and international troubles, natural disasters like a flood or fire. For whatever reason, we long for clearer direction, more visible footprints, a truer sense of God’s presence. Learning how to respond when life is turned upside down, whether by something bad or good, is what this virtual retreat will focus on. Come and reflect on God’s ways that are often surprising, frustrating, even bewildering.
The retreat is virtual, on Zoom, but the community with retreatants is real. Because of its virtual nature, where you live doesn’t matter, so long as you have access to the internet to connect on Zoom, and a willingness to be surprised and perhaps take an adventurous risk as we look at Scripture together.
Purpose: To provide space where you can retreat from your world to be fully present to God in Christ Jesus and receive spiritual nourishment to return to the messy world refreshed and able to keep going despite life’s trials.
When: Saturday, September 7; 9:30 a.m.-12:00 CST (15:30-18:00 GMT & 16:30-19:00 RSA).
Where: Since the retreat is virtual, the where is any space that’s reasonably free of distractions and has access to internet for Zoom gatherings for the duration of the retreat.
Format: A rhythm of silence and speaking; solitude and community. The speaking and community are virtual via Zoom. Silence and solitude happen during the time for you to be alone to attend to the Spirit in your life.
Cost: If you are able, a donation of $25 would be appreciated. I will give information on how to pay when you sign up.
To book your place at the retreat please use the “contact me” button. Because of the limits of Zoom, there will be a cap on how many can attend. I will add retreatants on a first-come-first-serve basis.
