Invitation to a Virtual Retreat

It’s been a brutal election season in the USA, leaving many of us anxious and disturbed. We need to take time out to wait for the Lord. Advent is a season of waiting for the Lord. You’re invited to begin your Advent waiting with a half-day virtual retreat focused on prayers for restoration as we pray, let your face shine, O Lord, that we may be saved.
While the retreat is virtual, the community with fellow retreatants is real because the Spirit is with and in us.
Purpose for the retreat: To provide space where you can retreat from your world and your anxieties in order to be fully present to God, seeking God’s face and to be restored.
When: Saturday, December 7; 9:30 a.m.-12:00 CST (15:30-18:00 GMT & 17:30-20:00 RSA).
Where: Since the retreat is virtual, the where is any space free of distractions that has access to internet for Zoom gatherings for the duration of the retreat.
Format: A rhythm of silence and speaking; solitude and community. The speaking and community are virtual via Zoom. Silence and solitude happen in the period during the retreat when you’ll have the opportunity to be alone.
Cost: If you are able, a donation of $25 would be appreciated. I will give information on how to pay when you sign up.
